museofspeed: (Kon/Knockout)
[personal profile] museofspeed
Remember last April when I decided Kon needed more love? Well, I meant to do that again this April, but I forgot! So this year, MAY IS PUT KON IN AN UNUSUAL PAIRING MONTH!

Now I will copy-paste and edit my rules from last year!

UNUSUAL PAIRING MONTH! What does this mean? It means you should write a story or draw a picture about Kon with someone he isn't usually paired with! For instance, Last year I wrote both a Kon/Bernard and a Kon/Dick story. Very unusual pairings, those! However Kon/Tim? Not so unusual. Got it? And, of course, crossovers are allowed.

Kon/Tana, Kon/Knockout, Kon/Cassie and Kon/Serling are all allowed because although they are canon, there are very few fics about them, if any.

Wondering if your pairing is rare? Check the [livejournal.com profile] dcfic_index! If there are...say...less than ten? Pretty rare. Less than 5? Very rare. None? You win. Have a cookie.

Post your fics or pictures here when you're done, and in early June I'll make a masterlist.

GO FORTH! CREATE! GIVE SUPERBOY SOME LOVING!

And don't forget to post your stuff to [livejournal.com profile] ttk_is_hot!

Buuut practice makes perfect!

OH! Cool! I am very excited, then.

I am trying to not write too much fic! I have all these school things I should be doing and I write Zat making out with Kon instead!

It's going to be awesome! But probably not. Maybe just fairly decent.

Psh, school. XD

OY! None of that on my watch! It will be awesome and be proud of your work!

It's not like I need to get a certain mark to get into the university I want to go to... wait...

"Your watch" do you go out patrolling for overly self-critical fic writers and tell them to stop?

Hey, I got into college! If they'll accept me, they'll take anyone! *COUGH* I mean homework is important do that.

Yes! By day, I am the mild-mannered (stop laughing, I'm mild-mannered really) Shana, but by NIGHT, I put on a costume and patrol the internet as the masked esteem booster, NAGIN! And that is an entirely fictionalized story of how my username came to be.

From: [identity profile] faile-neume.livejournal.com
I need to get about 85% in all my subjects to get into the uni and course I want. Or I need to get higher than that in some and less in others, which is what's going to happen because I'm almost failing maths :(

I am mild-mannered too *high give* although I am probably a mild-mild-mannered, because I am super shy in real life. I kind of want that to be true, how did you get your username? I get the Shana but but 'nagin'? Did you spell the ending of shenanigan wrong?

I just wrote a really good essay and interviewed well. Theeeeey probably shouldn't have accepted me.

It is funny because I'm anything but mild-mannered. I'm sort of insane. You may have noticed. And Shananagin was a nickname my friend gave me when I was younger. It was the only nickname that's ever stuck, and no one calls me it anymore, but it worked as a screenname.

Our acceptance is based on how we do in school, rather than interviews and that sort of thing.

I think anyone involved in a fandom has to be a little bit crazy. I'm the quiet sort of crazy that ends up snapping and going batshit insane and everyone is all "I didn't see that coming".

Ah okay, I always spell shananagin wrong when I'm talking about you, because the amount of a's and n's confuses me.

Date: 2009-05-21 06:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] museofspeed.livejournal.com
Ugh. That's... a bad idea. How you do in school gives such an incomplete picture of a person's abilities.

...eep! I am scared, then!

Bwahahahahahaha I am confusing! Think Shanana like a banana made of Shana. And then gin. If that's helpful at all. Which it probably isn't! Or Shana Nag In. Shan Anagin?

Yeah.. and they wonder why we all freak out and end up having mental breakdowns or why so many people commit suicide in their final year. One bunch of exams determines our future. That's a good idea guys.

It's okay, you're safe all the way over in America!

I always spell banana wrong, because I want to put double n's. I should just tattoo the correct spelling onto my hand so anytime I need to write Shananagin I can just read it.

That is just silly. Good luck with it, though! *cheers*

Yay! Safety!

Hee! Well, don't worry about it too much. I like my name, but if you get it wrong, I won't be too upset. :P

I'll need it, but that's mostly because I have no self discipline and can happily spend hours online when I should be working :/

Unless I buy a plane ticket to America and hunt you down! But I don't know why I would do that.

I spell my own username wrong sometimes, so definitely don't take it personally.

...yeah, you're talking to the girl who is talking to you instead of working on the final project due yesterday. I can relate.

Eeep! *hides*

Haha! Niiiiice.

Curse you internet! And you're ability to be incredibly distracting!

Because obviously I would know how to find you. America is huge, I wouldn't know where to start!

I always get the u and e of the neume part around the wrong way. But that's my own fault for choosing it.

I KNOW, RIGHT?

...yeah, that's why I'm not hiding very hard. :P

Yours is a little difficult. I usually check before writing it.

My dad keeps threatening to put a filter on my computer so I can't go on LJ or any websites that aren't educational. I threaten to murder him if he does. I like being distracted.

Actually I am pretty sure there is software that can track another persons IP address, so I could narrow it down to a rough area. Bwahahaha!

Sorry! Just out of curiosity, how do you think it's pronounced? I want to know if people sound it out the same way I do.

From: [identity profile] museofspeed.livejournal.com
Oooooh my parents used to do that. Or shut off the internet immediately at ten. I'd get so angry. Now they finally have realized, hey, she's an adult, we have to stop.

Maybe? I've never tried it.

Well, in my head it's "faile neume." Which is... exactly how it's spelled. Is it pronounced the French way? That is how I pronounce it in my head.

From: [identity profile] faile-neume.livejournal.com
My dad couldn't threaten to turn off the internet because he is usually using it all hours of the night too. Yay for a family of insomniacs!

I know that on Tumblr it logs the IP address of people who have visited your site.

See, I pronounce the first part 'fay' for no other reason than I like that word, it's supposed to be 'file'. It's Elvish not French, so I don't know what the French way would be.

My parents know how to turn it off just for my computer. It's LAME.

In French it's pronounced "Fail" but softer.

Damn! We have wireless so I don't know if that would make a difference.

Ah, fair enough. I pretty much epically failed at French when I took it for school. I can barely remember anything from doing it for about 7 years.

Date: 2009-05-23 03:02 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] museofspeed.livejournal.com
Oh, we do too. They have... I'm not sure how it's done, but they can lock my computer off of it. Or they could. Not sure if they can with the new system.

Hee! I liked French. Not enough to keep doing it in college, though.

I mustn't tell my parents that this technology exists! I would never get my internet back.

I liked it to, the problem I had was that those 7 years weren't continuous, I changed schools three times so I ended up having to start again each time and just got bored of it.

I'll never tell. :X

Ahhhhh yeah I can see how that would be hard.

Thanks ^_^

It was annoying, especially with crappy teachers as well. But crappy teachers are a given for me these days. >:(
