Write the Pairing You Never Got Around to Writing Challenge!
There are so many great pairings that should be written but aren't. So I'm declaring this week Write a Pairing You've Always Wanted to Write But Never Gotten Around To It Week!
Just post drabbles or links or something here. Or art, because that counts too.
I'll make a list at some point.
I'll start.
Title: Show me the Stars
Pairing: Lobo/Anita
Rating: PG-13
"Uncle Ish! Mom's peeing in her pants again!" Anita shouted. "I need help!"
"Don's crying," Ish said, walking in holding Anita's dad. The doorbell rang. "Get that? I'll take the babies."
"Sure," Anita said, handing over her mom happily. She walked downstairs. Whoever was at the door rang the bell again impatiently. "I'm coming!" she shouted, and threw open the door.
The man outside was tall and gruff looking. He had white skin, red eyes, lots of leather, and a bike that looked like it could rip a whole through a planet.
"Hey, baby," Lobo said.
Anita started preparing a spell in her head.
"Aw, come on, 'Nita, you've never needed magic to bewitch me." Lobo smirked, wrapping a huge hand around her waist and pulling her close. "Now, how about you and me go to this sweet off-planet bar where the drinking age is eighteen?"
"Lobo," she said. "I wish I could, but my parents..."
"You still live with that lame Maad guy? Oy, Maad!"
"Who is it?" Ish said, walking to the top of the stairs holding both of Anita's parents. "Oh, crap, I can't hold a gun and two babies!"
"I ain't gonna hurt you," Lobo said. "It'd make 'Nita cry. Can you watch the kids while I take her out to have a good time?"
"...maybe," Ish said. "Anita? Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Sure, mon," Anita said. She smiled nervously at Lobo. "Just a minute."
"Anita, what are you doing with this...guy? He's not Slobo, you know."
"He remembers me, though," Anita said. She kissed Ish on the cheek. "I'll be back before you know it," she said. She flounced out the door and over to Lobo.
"Ready, babe?" Lobo asked.
"Yeah," Anita said, getting onto the bike behind him. "Though I'm still not sure I'm not making a huge mistake."
"Hey, goin' with the Main Man is never a mistake," Lobo said, revving the engines. "And you're the only girl I've ever wanted to do more with than fuck and leave."
"I'm flattered," Anita said, holding on to Lobo as they flew into the sky. "Show me the stars, Lobo."
Okay! Your turn! Go!
