"Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.
I usually mostly avoid politics here because honestly, discussing them is a good way to lose friends. But gay marriage is the issue most near and dear to my heart because, well, I may someday end up marrying a woman, and I'd want it to be legal. It's also probably the issue I can understand the opposition for least. Mainly because the only arguments against it I've come up against are religious, and I have tons of rebukes for those.
-My rabbi is lesbian and married. My religion says it's okay.
-I've read those verses. Hell, it was practically part of my Bat Mitzvah! Should I also sell my daughter into slavery? Not wear wool and linen? Pretty much all of that section of Leviticus is mostly outdated and ignored. Why is that verse different?
-SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!
I'm sure I'm forgetting some of them.
So go here and sign.
And to wrap things up, a video you've probably all already seen about how gay marriage will save the economy.
