stalinglim! Prompt: who thought 5 AM was a good idea?
It's five AM, and Tim's been up working on a case all night and he can barely keep his eyes open. Finally, he shuts his laptop and staggers up to bed.
There's light coming out of the rec room.
Tim is tired. So tired. But he still drags himself over to the room and looks in.
Bart is seated crosslegged on the floor surrounded by food debris. When Tim walks into the room he turns and grins widely.
"Tim!" all of a sudden he's across the room and there are about five Barts in every direction. Sometimes Tim hates Bart's superspeed.
"What are you doing up?" he asks, trying not to yawn.
Bart shrugs and stands still. Or as still as Bart ever gets. "Have you ever had coffee? It's sososososososo good! Gar made me some! I love it sosososososo much!"
Tim will have to kill Gar. "How much did you have?"
"Umm... only a few cups. But then it wore off andIwasreallytiredagain so I made MORE! It's so good!"
"No more," Tim tells him. "You have to sleep."
"Don't wanna..." Bart yawns. The caffeine is wearing off. "Need more coffee."
Tim rolls his eyes and wishes he'd gone to bed earlier. "Come on, Bart."
Bart's now even more tired than Tim is. Speedster metabolism. Must make the caffeine highs and lows even more pronounced. And Bart's holding onto his arm and not turning into his room and Tim's really far too tired to protest when Bart curls up next to him on Tim's bed.
"Good night, Bart," he mutters. Bart only snores in reply.
Oh well. That's what he gets for staying up until 5 AM.
Not like it'll stop him in the future.
Title: Choker
Fandom: Teen Titans
Characters: Bart/Tim
Prompt: 50. Spade
Word Count: 509
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Tim gave Bart a choker. It's distracting.
Author's Notes: Wow, the prompt has NOTHING to do with the fic. I'm running out of prompts to choose from! Anyway, written for
brewsternorth. Prompt: shiny new toys!
It had been a really stupid idea to wear the choker to school.
Bart keeps on touching his neck. It isn't that it was too tight, or uncomfortable or anything, but it keeps making him think about Tim.
How Tim had blushed when he'd given it to Bart, how he'd shown him the little red bird stitched into the front, Tim's hands brushing his neck as he'd put it on Bart, the kissing, the stuff that came after the kissing...
It isn't not even really visible above his shirt. Just a bit of black that peaks out. But it means that Bart and Tim are really totally dating, and thinking about that makes Bart so happy that he almost vibrates through the chair, but he doesn't, which is good because that would have been bad.
Some of the books in the library had talked about S&M, and collars and chains and whips and kink and stuff. Bart doesn't think he and Tim are really like that. Bart doesn't like pain, and no chains can really hold him, and anyway, the collars there are spiky and leather, not smooth and warm and black with a little red bird. But it still makes him feel all quivery and awesome whenever he touches it.
Maybe he should get Tim one with a lightning bolt. He wonders if Tim would wear it.
After class, one of the girls... Marianne, Bart's eidetic memory supplies, calls out after him.
Bart stops before he can run off. "Yeah?" he asks, still smiling goofily from thinking about Tim.
"I was wondering," she says, playing with her hair. "There's a party this weekend. Wanna come?"
"Oh," Bart says. "I can't." Weekends are Teen Titans time, and he isn't going to miss seeing Tim. Or Kon and Cassie and the rest, of course, but the rest don't give him sex.
"Oh," Marianne says. "Maybe some other time? I was, um, hoping we could get to know each other better."
Oh. That's what she's talking about. "I'm sorry," Bart says. "I'm seeing someone."
"You are? Oh, I didn't know! I - what's her name?"
Bart touches his neck and the choker at just under light speed. Marianne doesn't notice. "Robin," Bart says. "Doesn't go here. Sorry. I gotta go."
He leaves, letting Marianne think about it. Sure, the whole school will know before too long, but he doesn't care about that. He hates Keystone High. He misses Carol and Preston and Rolly and Wade and Eddie from Manchester. He doesn't have any friends here. Why bother? He's got the Titans. He's got Tim.
He skips the rest of the day and just runs. He's not surprised when he ends up in Gotham, and even less surprised when he manages to get Tim to make out with him in an alley.
He probably shouldn't wear the choker to school anymore, but it isn't like he needs to pay attention. School was boring enough before he knew everything. Why not think about Tim at school?
At least it's more interesting than geography.

zoe_chan! She wanted post-resurrection fic.
Tim wasn't at the party upstairs.
Everyone else was so happy that Bart was back. Tim...couldn't let himself be happy. All the evidence pointed to Bart being back, but evidence had lied to him before. He couldn't just accept it.
So while Cassie and Gar were hugging Bart excitedly, and Rose and Vic were welcoming him back, and Kory was calling everyone they knew, Tim just shook Bart's hand, stole a few hairs, and tried not to notice how hurt Bart looked that Tim wasn't more excited.
But now the party was going on upstairs and Tim was faced with the undeniable conclusion that this really was Bart. Or someone with his DNA. But even clones had slightly different DNA. It had to be him.
He turned off his computer and walked up the stairs slowly.
"Bart," he said quietly when he rejoined the party.
Bart heard him from across the room and flashed him a hopeful smile. He was in front of Tim before the image could fade from Tim's cornea.
"Hi, Tim," Bart said. "I'm glad you could come."
"You're really you," Tim said quietly. He pulled Bart closer. "You're really you," he repeated, louder, more sure. "Oh, god, Bart, I missed you."
Bart hugged him, and only Bart hugged like that, with his whole body. "It's me," Bart said.
"I missed you," Tim said. "So much." He didn't think about it. He kissed Bart's face, not caring that people were watching. Bart was back. That was all that mattered. And when Bart kissed back, all the better. He was kissing Bart and it didn't even matter because he was alive and he still didn't have Kon, but it was okay. Bart was back.
"As much as we're all enjoying the show," Rose said dryly, cutting into Tim's bubble of Bart. "You really need to get a room. Wally looks like he's about to faint."
Tim pulled back, not looking away or letting go of Bart, and Bart grinned. "Thanks for coming to the party, everyone!" he said.
And Tim was gone into that familiar feeling of speed and Bart.

These were cute, I haven't, actually, checked out your table yet. I've probably read a lot of what's on it, though. ^_^;
