Welcome to the JusticeVerse! The main thing you have to know about this universe is that Young Justice didn't break up. A lot of other things happened too, but that's where it begins.
List of Fics in a vaguely chronological order. Not necessarily the order in which they were written.
The Future Was Then.
Mr. Sandsmark.
Family Secrets.
Sleepy Time.
Too Damned Nice.
Chatwriting: I Always Cry at Weddings.
Make Way for the New Girl Wonder.
I Smell Burning.
Oh God, My Eyes!

The Bats:
Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are the parents of Helena Kyle-Wayne. Bruce runs Waynecorps and Selina gets paid to break into places and test security systems. Then she helps make them better. Neither of them is a vigilante anymore, though Bruce helps from the sidelines. Alfred's still around too, of course.
Bruce didn't want to retire. He only did when Leslie Thompson told him that he would get a heart attack and die if he didn't start taking it slow. At that point, he had Selina and Helena, so he couldn't put himself in more danger. He had to think of his family.
He had a meeting with Dick, Tim, Cass, and Steph about what to do. Eventually they decided that Tim, now in his early twenties, should become the new Batman. Tim worried about the fact that he didn't have a Robin, but Dick, Cass, and Steph promised they'd help him.
Bruce didn't want his little girl to be a crime fighter, but there was no way Helena would be sidelined. Her big siblings taught her to fight, and at thirteen, Helena made her debut. Bruce was furious, but Tim talked to him and convinced him to let her become his Robin. Hel wears a mask that tilts into subtle points and carries a whip out of respect to her cat heritage.
Tim and Bart are in a very serious relationship, to the point that they're living together. Dick's married to Koriand'r, and they have a daughter. Mar'i Grayson has all of her mother's powers, though they aren't quite as powerful. Cass and Steph are seeing each other, though neither seems willing to speak as to how serious they are. Helena recently started dating Junior. Mar'i has a huge crush on Iris West.
Tim is currently sharing an apartment with Bernard Dowd. Bernard figured out Tim's secret and is now helping Tim by being an alibi and doing research. Tim and Bernard are also business partners, designing websites. Bernard and Bart's friend Carol recently started dating.
Cass and Steph are teaching a fairly self defense class to young women and kids in tough neighborhoods. Dick is Kory's agent.
Jason Todd is alive again. Kon and Bart visited the Legion, found out Slobo's current whereabouts and slingshot him back to the 21st century to cure him. To keep equilibrium, Jason Todd was shot to the same time from the moment before his death. The math works out somehow, but now Tim's got a younger former Robin to deal with.
The Speedsters
Wally West is still the Flash, but now he's got two kids with superspeed to worry about. Jai isn't really fond of fighting. He prefers to do back-up and evacuations in fights. He becomes Kid Flash because his family expects him to, but he isn't very into it. Iris, however, really, really enjoys superheroing. She wants to be the Flash someday, but she's happy to give her dad's name to Jai. She wants to be her own superheroine for now, so she's calling herself Haste.
She often teams up with her favorite relative, Bart Allen. Bart isn't Impulse anymore. He read through the Gotham Public Library and now calls himself Momentum. Most people don't get it. Iris isn't his sidekick, but if she were someone's sidekick, it'd be him. Wally isn't pleased that Iris and Bart are so close. Bart and Wally just don't get along. There's too much history between them. They do manage to be civil mostly, though, and they both know they can trust each other.
Wally and Linda have a third kid, too. Johnny West is the baby of the family, and only a toddler. So far, he's exhibited no signs of having any superpowers.
There's one other Speedster around, and that's Mach 10, also known as Jesse Chambers. She has the powers of her mother, Liberty Belle as well as Johnny Quick's speed powers. That's why she changed her codename. It has to do with sound now, see?
Wally is happily married to Linda. Bart is living with Tim. Jesse is married to Rick Tyler. Jai and Iris are both single, but Iris has a crush on Mar'i. She doesn't know that Mar'i likes her back.
Wally repairs cars. Linda is a television anchor. Bart designs video games. Jesse runs her dad's old company.
Supers and Wonders
When Cassie was old enough, Diana flew back to Themyscira to spend time with her own people, trusting the mantle of Wonder Woman and ambassador to Cassie.
Lex Luthor managed to strip Superman of his powers using modified red solar radiation and kryptonite. Clark's fine, and the yellow sun is very, very slowly returning his powers, but he's just as happy to leave the title of Superman to Kon. He and Lois have a Kryptonian to raise, after all. Chris Kent. Superboy II.
Cassie and Kon were recently married. Cassie refused point-blank to become Cassie Kon-El, but they both wanted to have the same last name. Now they're Cassie and Kon Sandsmark. Tim and Bart have not stopped teasing them about it.
Cassie's work as the Themysciran ambassador keep her busy. Kon's busy too. He's become a teacher at a high school. His class is especially popular with girls. Shockingly. Tim and Bart also tease him about this.
Although there is not a Wonder Girl right now, a girl who looks strangely like Steph is employed as an intern in the Themysciran Embassy. She and Cassie have become somewhat close. Who can say what might happen in the future.
The Birds
Barbara slept with Ted Kord one night after they'd saved the world together. It was lovely, but they both decided they were happier just being friends. Then Babs found out she was pregnant. Ted, being a gentleman, proposed, but Babs turned him down. Jimmy lives with Barbara, but he and Ted are very close.
Dinah adopted a girl she'd met while training overseas. Sin is extremely good at fighting, but she hasn't had a chance to live anything even bordering on a normal life.
Dinah and Barbara marry, and the entire family becomes the Lance-Gordons. Jimmy, with two geniuses providing his genes, is almost as good a computer hacker as his mother, though nowhere near as good a fighter. He prefers to let robots and inventions do the fighting for him. He goes by the alias Brainmeats. Sin is a very skilled fighter who calls herself Sparrow. They're both in the Superbuddies.
Helena is dating one of her fellow teachers, and he does not know about her...extracurricular activities.
Charlie Gage-Radcliffe is technically a Bird of Prey, but she spends most of her time with Justice Union.
Other People
Booster and Beetle went camping for a weekend. They refuse to talk about exactly what happened that weekend, but when they got back, they had Michael Theodore Carter-Kord, called Junior, and they had started dating. No one was surprised, though some people hadn't realized they weren't before. They were surprised that Blue and Gold had somehow picked up a twelve-year-old son that was a genetic match to both of them, but Booster and Beetle refuse to say exactly what happened. A few years later, Junior joins the Superbuddies as Gold Beetle and starts dating Robin. Junior is shamelessly stolen from
doctorv's Mullet-verse, though my version is a little different. I recommend reading Mullet-verse anyway because it is pure awesome.
Slade's daughter Ravager and the teleporter Misfit are both members of the Justice Union. They can't stand each other. That didn't stop them from making out that one time. Or sleeping together those...three times. Not that they'd ever talk about it. No one knows. Well, Batman knows, but he knows everything. He was nice enough to delete the videos from the Tower security system before anyone else saw, though.
Cissie's still not a superhero, but she's dating one. She and Jaime Reyes, the new Blue Beetle, hitched up a few months ago. Even though the old Blue Beetle is still pretty active, he said Jaime could keep the name after the Scarab welded itself to Jaime's spine.
Anita and Uncle Ish are raising Anita's parents pretty well. Anita's finally started to get out a little. She went on a date with Kid Devil recently, and it went pretty well. Of course, now Don wants to be a superhero, just like his daughter.
Traya Smith, Red Tornado's daughter, got John Stewart's power ring when he died. She's in the Justice Union with her friends, of course. She's not seeing anyone, but she's sort of interested in Holly, the new Catwoman.
Ralph and Sue Dibny have two kids. Arthur Dibny calls himself Stretch and is part of the Superbuddies. Nancy Dibny's still just a baby, but she's already very inquisitive.

Date: 2008-03-05 02:59 pm (UTC)I'm going to love this universe so much. You put so much thought in the relationships and didn't exclude some people just because if their predessors lives, that means they didn't get their powers.
i.e., Jamie and the title of the Blue Beetle.
I can't wait to see more!
Would it be impolite to request a character?

Date: 2008-03-05 03:02 pm (UTC)I like Jaime too much to not include him.
Heh, I have too much time on my hands, and once I start planning, I don't stop.

Date: 2008-03-06 08:44 pm (UTC)James Jesse (Trickster) has a son named Billy, who's some kind of God-avatar. He too is made of win.
Even a mention of him would make me squee :D

Sleep isn't a must thing for you then?

Date: 2008-03-06 09:34 pm (UTC)It's not likely that Billy will show up since this is pretty much the first I've heard of him. Perhaps if scans show up on S_D or I stumble across an old comic talking about him, but at this point a brief mention is possible and anything else highly unlikely.

I'd like to see more Kon/Cassie because they've always been my OTP and i'm so happy that someone likes them together too.
But everything is really nice.
