slashfest. Not sure if we're allowed to repost them yet or not, but there's been no word, so I'm doing it. If they complain, screw them. Points for anyone who gets the reference in the title.
Whump.
Kon lay flat on the ground, blinking in surprise.
"Kon?" Bart shouted. "I heard a whump, is everything...ohmygodareyouallright?"
"I'm fine, Bart," Kon said. Bart was suddenly above him, buzzing anxiously around.
"What happened? Are we under attack? I'llgogetRob –""
"Cool it, speedy," Kon said, pushing himself up with his TTK. "It wasn't supervillains, it was the Super-cycle."
"The Super-cycle went evil?" Bart gasped.
"I have no idea! I was just going to a party when wham! It just knocks me outta the air!"
"Maybe it wanted you to invite it," Bart said, snickering.
"...right, Bart," Kon said. "Anyway, I'm off to my party." He took off.
Whump.
"How was the party?" Bart asked.
"Funny," Kon said. "What the heck is wrong with that thing?"
"We should get Rob to look at it," Bart said.
"Yeah, you can get him. I have to go to my –"
The Super-cycle landed on him.
Bart burst out laughing.
"What the...stop laughing at me, Imp! It's not funny!"
"Yeah it is!" Bart said, snickering. "It really doesn't want you go to your party!"
"Yeah, well, thanks to my tactile telekinesis, I can just push –" Kon touched the Super-cycle and tried to move it. "It's not working!"
"Maybe if you don't go to your party," Bart suggested. "You can stay here and watch a movie with me!"
The Super-cycle seemed happier with that idea.
"Fine," Kon said. "But if we're not watching Exploding Explosions. Sometimes I feel it's the only thing we ever see."
"But explosions are cool!" Bart said.
"And that's how me and my trusty TTK totally kicked Killer Shark's ass," Kon said.
"Oh, Superboy," the gorgeous girl in the blue bikini on his right sighed. "You're just so...super!"
"That's how I got the name," he said. "Y'know, there are lots of other uses for my tactile telekinesis. Nonviolent ones."
The hot babe on his left giggled. "Could you show us?" she asked.
Kon grinned. He loved it when gorgeous girls wanted him to telekinetically be tactile with them. "I'd be happy too," he said.
But the girls were no longer looking at him. Their eyes had gone wide, and they were staring above and behind him. The girl in the yellow and green bikini screamed.
"Aw, nuts," Kon said. "Don't worry, ladies, I handle this sorta thing all the time." He turned around. "Super-cycle? You have got to be kidding me!"
The Super-cycle looked as menacing as possible.
All five of the girls were screaming now. He glanced over his shoulders at them. "Ladies, it's fine, this is my...don't run away!" He scowled as the girls ran off the beach.
"Great," he said, glaring at the Super-cycle. It looked far too pleased with itself.
"Hey, S.B.!" Kon turned. Bart was next to him.
"Agh! Impulse! What's up, dude?"
"Nothin' much. I was running around California and California's kinda close to Hawaii, so I thought I'd go say hi but turns out Japan's actually closer to Hawaii than California is and this is why Max always says I should pay more attention in geography but it only took me a few seconds to find you anyway why is the Super-cycle here?"
It took a moment for Kon's brain to catch up with Bart's mouth. "Huh? I have no idea, but it scared away the girls!"
Bart snickered. "Did it scare away your shirt too? You've got a really nice chest."
"Uhh...thanks," Kon said. "Nah, that's missing because I was swimming."
"Oh," Bart said. "With the girls?"
"Yeah," Kon said.
"Were they wearing shirts?"
"They were swimming, Imp."
"Oh, right." Bart shrugged. "Look, I was totally bored when I came here. I could run home and get my suit and I'd go swimming with you. The Super-cycle doesn't scare me."
"Sure," Kon said. "I'd like that."
Yvonne was a little boring, Kon thought. Nice girl, sure, and hot, but he was already regretting taking her out to dinner. And she'd stolen his jacket. Again.
He idly wondered what Bart was doing. Meals with Bart were never boring. And Bart had never so much as mentioned hair styles when they were together.
Kon smirked. It wasn't hard to figure out why. Bart clearly didn't worry about his hair very much. It tended to fall all disheveled and messy, but it still always looked so soft...
"Superboy?" Yvonne said.
"Hmm?" Kon glanced up at her.
"Why were you grinning?" she asked.
"Just...thinking." About Bart's hair. "Nothing really important."
"Really?" Yvonne asked.
Oh, right. Time to up the flirting. "Actually, I was thinkin' about you."
Yvonne flushed. "What about me?" she asked.
"Oh...y'know..."
That was when the Super-cycle phased through the roof.
"Not again!" Kon groaned.
"What is that thing?" Yvonne said.
The Super-cycle phased through Yvonne. Then it took off again with her in a seat.
"Yvonne!" Kon shouted. Clearly the Super-cycle had turned evil. Or at least misogynistic. Point was, he had to stop it.
He flew after the Super-cycle and caught up with it just in time to see it drop Yvonne off at her house. With his jacket. Geeze, would it be so bad if one of his jackets lasted more than a day or two?
He'd have to apologize to Yvonne later. But she'd been a lousy date anyway. Kon rolled his eyes and dialed Bart's number.
"Hey, Bart?" he said. "Good, good, you? Listen, Super-cycle interrupted my date. Yes, again. You can stop laughing any time, you know. It isn't funny! Fine. Wanna hang out? We didn't finish our deserts. Cool, see you in a second or two."
Kon was in a hot tub. With Miss Hawaii. Naked.
He had to be the luckiest kid around.
He knew what was going to happen, though. The Super-cycle would show up again and he'd spend the evening with Bart instead. Any minute now.
"So, have you ever thought about...you know, doing it while you're flying? I've always wanted to join the mile high club," Miss Hawaii said.
Seriously, where was the Super-cycle?
"Uhh..." Kon said.
"C'mon, S.B.," she said, tracing a finger down his chest. "How bout it?"
Was he really going to get that lucky? Was the Super-cycle not going to show up and ruin his night? He could pick up Miss Hawaii right now and fly up over the ocean. He could...
"Uh...I'll have to take a rain check on that," Kon said. "Sorry, babe, but I'm getting a call on, uh, the Secret YJ Emergency line."
"I don't hear anything," Miss Hawaii said huffily.
"That's cause it's on a special frequency that only YJ members can hear. Real sorry."
"If you leave now, you'll miss your chance," she said.
"Hello? Emergency? Superhero?" Kon floated out of the hot tub and started pulling on his costume.
"Like there aren't other superheroes around."
Kon stared at her. "Right," he said. "Guess I'm losing my chance." He took off.
Sure, it wasn't a real emergency, but did she really expect him to be that self-centered? And Manchester, Alabama was only about a half hour's flight away.
There. Kon dived and started flying through the town, looking for Impulse.
Or maybe Bart. Kon saw him walking with two other kids. He flew over.
"Hi," he said.
Bart looked up and grinned.
The girl walking with him rolled her eyes. "Oh my god, it's Superboy!" she said. "He's probably looking for Impulse, who isn't here right now, right, Bart?"
"Huh?" Bart glanced at her, then back at Kon. "Oh, right. Yeah, uh, we have no idea where Impulse might be."
"C'mon, Preston," the girl said, grabbing the sleeve of the blond boy who was staring at Kon in awe. "Let's find Impulse. Bart can keep Superboy company."
"Right!" Bart smiled at her. "Thanks, Carol."
Kon watched Carol and Preston walk away. "Dude, I think she might have guessed your secret ID," he said.
"No, ya think?" Bart said, blurring into Impulse. "Carol knows. What's up, Kon? 'Nother date ruined by the Super-cycle?"
"Nah, actually. I flew away from my date."
Bart raised an eyebrow. "You wanted to hang out with me over some girl?"
"Yeah, I mean, she's only the hottest girl in Hawaii," Kon rubbed his neck. "So wanna, I dunno, do something?"
"Sure," Bart said. "So are we dating now or what?"
"Bwuh?" Kon said.
"Y'know, cause we keep like, going on dates when your other ones don't work out."
Kon...hadn't really thought about it. He liked girls, sure. But...he preferred Bart. What did that say about him? Were they dating? And why was the thought that they might be not nearly as unpleasant as it should have been? It felt...nice.
"Sure," Kon said. "We're dating."
Bart shot him a bright smile. "Cool." He said. "So –"
The Super-cycle landed next to them.
"Aw, man! Not again!" Kon said. "Look, I don't know what your deal is, Super-cycle, but –"
"No, look at it!" Bart said. "It's happy!"
He was right. The Super-cycle looked incredibly satisfied and inviting.
"I think it wants us to get in," Bart said, climbing into it. Kon shrugged and followed him.
It had left only one of its seats open. There was just enough room for Kon to squeeze in, pressed tight against Bart. Not that he really minded.
"Uh, is it just me or has the Super-cycle been pushing us together?" Kon said.
Bart started laughing.
Kon rolled his eyes. "It's not that funny," he said.
"Sure it is!" Bart said. He grinned at Kon.
"Aw, hell with it," Kon said. He pulled Bart towards him telekinetically and kissed him.
After all, there were worse ways to get together than set up by a magical alien car.

And for some reason, I feel the need to say: Oh Superboy. You're so super. XD

If you mean will there be a sequel, the answer is no. My current plan is not to start any more WIPs until I'm done with at least most of the ones I'm currently writing.

That's quite the segue to flirting. Good old Bart.
Cute story!

Or so he'd like us all to think!
Thanks!
