Prompt: Write About a Sudden Storm.
It's cold and wet, and Carol would have brought an umbrella if she had had any idea that there would be a rainstorm, but the skies had been blue when she left.
Carol pulled her jacket tighter and wiped her glasses on her already sopping sleeve. It didn't help much. She could barely see and she was wet and miserable and -
"Carol?" Impulse was suddenly next to her.
"Hi, Bart," Carol said. "Any chance you brought an umbrella?"
"Uh..." Bart looked embarrassed. "Want me to run you home?"
"That'd be nice," Carol said, and Bart scooped her into his arms and Carol felt the familiar pull as he accelerated into superspeed. He was going so fast he could dodge around the raindrops, so when they reached Carol's house, she hadn't gotten wetter. Not that it would have made a difference, at that point.
"Sorry I didn't bring an umbrella," Bart said as he let her down in the doorway.
"It's okay," Carol said. "Thanks."
"Yeah, no problem," Bart said.
Carol was still wet, but now that she was inside where towels and dry socks could be found, she was in a much better mood. "Want to change back out of your costume and hang out?"
"Sure!" Bart said. "Lemme just go ask Max!" He vanished.
Carol walked five steps towards the bathroom when Bart reappeared.
"Maxsaiditwas okay but we have to do homework," he said.
"Fair enough," Carol said.
"Can we do homework later?" Bart asked. "I was kinda thinking we could do something else first."
"Like?" Carol said.
"Well, y'know," Bart grinned. "It's just you and me..."
Carol leaned forward. "Yeah?"
"We could play video games!"
"Bart..."
"I mean, we always have people around and it's more fun with just two people - "
"No." Carol grabbed him by the shoulders. "When it's just the two of us, we can make out."
Bart blushed. "Ohhh."
Carol rolled her eyes. "You're cute, but kinda dense." she said.
"Hey! I can take a hint!" Bart kissed her.
Carol smiled. She might be wet, but she knew from experience that a warm, enthusiastic speedster would dry her off in no time.

When one of the statues moves, it has to be almost as fast as she is.
"Hhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaassssssssttttteeeee," someone says, at a speed that would probably be normal for anyone else, but to Iris, it's slow.
But someone is calling for her. She slows to a halt and grins. It's Mar'i.
"Hey, Nightstar!" she says. "What's up?"
Mar'i shrugs. "Not much. Dad's visiting your dad. Thought I'd come say hi."
"Glad you did," Iris says. "Life's more interesting with you around."
Mar'i blushes. "Thanks, I think," she says. "Were you just patrolling?"
"Yeah, pretty much. Wanna come? Or," Iris shrugs. "Actually, it's pretty boring out here today. Wanna just hang out?"
"Sure," Mar'i says.
"We can get lunch!" Iris says. "We're about thirty seconds from my favorite place!"
"It's across town, isn't it?"
"Yeah, I was going by your speed," Iris says, grinning. "Fly me there? It's called Flash Pizza. They give me free stuff."
"I can't imagine why you like it," Mar'i said.

"...keep Jay away from the cave," he suddenly heard Bruce say from the study. "He can't know about my super secret project."
"Of course," Dick said.
Jason scowled. Keeping secrets from him, were they? Well, he'd show them. He waited a few moments and walked into the room.
"Hi guys," he said casually. "What's going on?"
"Oh, nothing," Bruce and Dick said together.
"Okay," Jason said. He drained his orange juice. "Well, I'm going to go train in the Cave, I think."
"No, you've got homework," Bruce said.
"It's Saturday!" Jason said.
"Studying's important, Jay," Dick said.
Jason scowled and stormed off. But he didn't go to his room. He hid himself in the large plant in the library and watched the entrance to the Batcave.
Dick and Bruce kept on coming and going, but never both at the same time. Jason sat in the plant with his legs slowly cramping for an hour before they finally both left.
Jason jumped out of the plant and zipped down to the cave as quickly as he could.
Everything was exactly as normal.
Well, not everything.
There was a note taped to the giant penny.
Jay - Go to the back garden. Love, Dick and Bruce.
Jason scowled. They thought they could predict him so well? He'd show them. He snuck back out of the cave and crept to the garden.
No one was there.
Jason wandered to the very center, wondering what Bruce and Dick were up to.
"SURPRISE!"
Jason jumped and landed in a defensive position. They were under attack! They were -
Oh. Dick, Bruce, Barbara, and Alfred were standing around, laughing.
"Happy birthday, little wing," Dick said, hugging him with one arm and offering him ice cream with another.
"Wait, what?" Jay said.
"Sorry about tricking you," Bruce said. "It was necessary to keep you occupied while we set this up."
Jason felt - well, he wasn't sure. It was a mixture of annoyance that they'd tricked him and foolishness that he'd forgotten about his birthday.
Mostly, though, he felt loved.

"It'ssupposedto race! Speedster!"
"Not like this. Bart, calm down!"
"It only happens when you're around," Bart muttered, scowling.

"I dunno why! I just get these weird feelings around you. I kinda feel sick, but not really in a bad way, y'know?"
Tim was quiet for a moment. "Bart, do you like me?" he asked.
"What kinda question is that? Course I do, Rob."
"That's not what I mean," Tim said. "Are you...attracted to me?"

Tim stepped out of the shadows, smirking.
"You!" Bernard said. "Just scared the shit out of me. Proud of yourself?"
"Not really. You're pretty easy to scare."
Bernard flushed. "Gee, thanks. Why do you do it, then?"
"I like seeing you all flustered. It's cute." Tim grinned.
Bernard flushed more. "I bet you say that to all the girls...er, guys."
Tim laughed, low and deep in his throat. "Just you, Bernard."
"Lucky me," Bernard said. "You're a lot more forward now that I know your other identity, Drake."
"Yeah?" Suddenly, Tim was very, very close. Bernard wasn't sure he was comfortable with the closeness. "I guess I just like not having to hide myself."
"I can tell," Bernard said, stumbling back slightly.
Tim followed him, steering him towards a wall. "No, let me show you," he breathed, and he kissed Bernard.
Bernard melted into the kiss. He wrapped his arms around Tim's neck and clung to him.
When they finally broke apart, Bernard breathed, "I take it you like it a lot, then?"

Both were very good though I think I liked Playtime more.
Something about the ending of Fever seems a bit- off. I still enjoyed reading it though there's just something there...
