"Titans regroup!" Tim shouted. "We have to - oof!"
Bart had grabbed him and was pulling him along at superspeed. "Havetotakemedown,Timmy?Doyoureallythinkyoucan?"
"Bart, please listen!" Tim shouted. "You have to stop this!"
"Stopthis?LikeyoustoppedgrievingaboutKonforevenamomenttorememberthatsomeofyourfriendswerestillalive?" Bart stopped sharply and turned to face Tim, eyes glinting. "You missed your chance, Tim. Maybe you could have saved me. But no. You were too busy crying over your dead best friend!"
"I cried over you too!" Tim said. "Bart, I missed you too! So much!"
"Not enough." Bart lifted his hand and touched Tim's forehead. "I wonder what would happen if I phased through your brain and solidified?"
"Bart," Tim gasped. "You wouldn't - "
"Wouldn't I?" Bart smiled, and it was the same smile he'd always had, but somehow a thousand times scarier.
A flash of blue, and Bart was knocked out.
"You okay?" Jaime asked.
"Y-yeah," Tim said, looking down at Bart shakily. "He's...oh god, it's just like Jason."
"Who?" Jaime asked.
Tim shook his head. "Never mind. Let's get him back to the tower. We have to fix him."
Title: What Would You Do...

"You won't remember anything. But they'll both be alive."
"And happy?" Tim asked. "They have to be happy."
"Yes, happy."
"But no one will remember me at all?"
"No one."
Tim looked down at himself. He'd always planned to give up being Robin some day. But to give up having ever been Robin?
It was almost unthinkable.
Almost.
"Okay," Tim said. He looked up. "In exchange for Bart and Kon's lives, I'll do it. Just, I'd like to say goodbye to my friends. I don't care if neither of us will remember. I'd like to do it anyways."
"Very well," Mephisto said. "You have one more day."

"I think I'm going to throw up," Tim muttered.
"What are you looking at?" Steph asked, poking him in the shoulder.
Tim handed her the binoculars.
Steph stared. "Is that Dick?"
"Yes."
"With some blond boy?"
"Bernard."
"Your Bernard?"
"Yes!"
"Damn," Steph said. "Holy PDA, Batman?"
"More or less. Just be glad I turned off the sound."
"Why?"
Tim flipped a switch and handed her the headphones.
"Oh, Richard," Bernard sighed. "This is such a lovely night."
"Richard?" Steph hissed.
Tim shrugged.
"All for you, Bernie," Dick said back.
Steph couldn't listen anymore. She threw the headphones off and handed the binoculars back to Tim. "That is the most sickening thing I've ever seen," she said. "Are you jealous?"
"No!" Tim said. "Just sickened."
"And a little jealous?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Tim said stiffly. "I have patrol to go on. Frankly, the sooner we stop watching this, the better."
"He's gone," Dick said.
Bernard moved away from Dick. "So you really think...?
"Oh yeah," Dick said. "Timmy's totally got the hots for you."
These few are for my Misfit prompt begging session which is still open for requests!

"Bruce, I did not agree to babysit for your kid!" Barbara said.
"I have to leave him with someone," Bruce growled.
"I'd do fine on my own," Damian said.
"No," Barbara and Bruce said together.
"Please, Barbara," Bruce said. "Just for the afternoon."
Barbara glared at him, then she touched her commlink. "Misfit? Could you come here?"
Charlie appeared in the middle of the room. "Heya, Oracle! Oh, um, hi Batman."
"Charlie, Batman is offering to pay you fifty dollars an hour to watch that kid."
"Wow, really?"
Bruce glared at Barbara. "Yes, really," he said.
"Hey!" Damian said. "She's not much older than me! How come I'm not getting paid?"
"Stop whining," Bruce growled. "Oracle, I'll see you later."
Barbara didn't look away. Bruce stood there for a minute, then jumped out the window without doing his ninja vanishing tricks.
Barbara pulled out a pad of paper and put a tally on the side that read Babs.
"So," Charlie said. "What's your name?"
"Damian," Damian said. "I am the son of Batman and Talia Al Ghul. I should be Robin!"
Charlie nodded solemnly. "I should be Batgirl. Hey, wanna watch cartoons?"
Damian glared. "I do not watch cartoons. I train. And occasionally eat ice cream."
"We could eat ice cream as we watch cartoons," Charlie suggested.
"Did you not hear me?" Damian asked, drawing his sword. "I do not watch cartoons!"
"Uh, Babs? The kid has a sword!"
"Deal with it or you don't get paid!" Babs said. "Don't bother me again!"
"I want ice cream!" Damian shouted. "And not cartoons!"
It would be a long afternoon.

"That's cause I bounced," Charlie said. "So how bout it?"
"You do realize that you're not Batgirl and I'm not Robin, right?"
Charlie shrugged. "The real Robin told me to go away, Red Hood tried to put a knife through my head, and Spoiler was busy doing, um, things with the real Batgirl."
"Things?"
"Um, yeah," Charlie said. "So you're my last chance."
Dick thought about it. Charlie was a little annoying and a little silly sometimes, but she looked so hopeful.
"Yeah, sure," he said, grinning at her. "Want to get ice cream?"

That was my favorite part.

Date: 2008-08-12 02:16 am (UTC)That's a story I'm actually working on continuing. Because I know how it's going to continue and it is Not Good.
Except that it's, y'know, awesome.
Thanks!

Date: 2008-10-14 04:21 am (UTC)I loved these all. Are you going to write more about evil!Bart?

Date: 2008-10-14 04:28 am (UTC)Normally the answer would be a resounding no. I don't usually write sequels to anything (exception: Spoiled), and that's partly lack of time, partly that often more means less quality, but in this case, I did start an extended version. Whether or not I'll actually finish it, though, is a resounding maybe. I wouldn't get your hopes up, though. I've got tons of other stuff to write.
